Light the Fire OTBA Banquet

.
This years Light the Fire OTBA Banquet was another success.  Held at the Little Bear Golf Club in Lewis Center, over 50 participants had the opportunity to network with other members and guests.

Members and guests were greeted by Secretary Heather Stern, and Founder/CFO Debbie Taranto Antoun. Everyone had a chance to mingle and enjoy a cocktail before dinner.   Following cocktails, the dinner was served which included selection of chicken (seasoned or unseasoned), pork, pasta, baked potato, green beans, salad, rolls and drinks. It was cooked to prefection with plenty for everone.

Opening ceremonies were started by OTBA President, John Cummings. He gave a presentation on OTBA, it's purpose and goals, and where he would like to see OTBA in the future.

Following his presentation were awards to Orange Celeration (July 4th) supporters and contributors by OTBA Chairperson, Julie Riber.  A special award was given to Dr. John Moore, Ameriheath Chiropractic for his extraordinary service to the association this year.

After the awards, Bruce Kullberg, Unicom Services, offered a brief presentation officially announced the OTBA Mobile service.  Using a web-enabled mobile phone or device, the free service offers a 'mini-website' for OTBA members to network with each other. It includes a members directory, plus information and resources on OTBA.  Members can sign up for enhanced listings and sponsorships to help support the service.

Bruce then introduced Christy Perry, OTBA Vice-President, who introduced the featured speaker of the evening, Steve Baldzicki, Founder/President of Big Fish Networking, central Ohio's premier networking event.  He explained the power of networking, common mistakes business people make in trying to network, when a network group is no longer effective, plus much more!  OTBA members and guests received a real eduction and needed motivation to turn contacts into business.

After Mr. Bladzicki presentation, he gave away some door prizes which included golf packages, tickets to local comedy clubs, and more!  The evening wrapped up with more cocktails and networking amoung the OTBA members and guests.

Watch for announcements of upcoming OTBA events. If you aren't participating, we can guarantee you aren't benefiting. It's all about people, and making it happen.  See you at the next OTBA meeting and event!

Celebrate Red, White, & Blue with the Orange Township Business Association!

Orange Celebration 2008 was enjoyed by everyone! Despite some rain during the second half of the parade, 1000's of local families and friends lined the streets to watch the floats, marching band and more! Plus the kids filled their bags with candy being tossed from parade participants.

Orange Township was named as one of the fastest growing townships in the United States in 2005. The growth of the township has led to the development of community, neighbors, and friendships. In the Fall of 2004, neighbors got together with a vision to bring together the diverse economic, racial, social and economic components of Orange Township through a celebration of Freedom. On July 4, 2008, Orange Township celebrated its community at the 4th Annual Independence Day Celebration! The celebration included a PARADE, and a FOUR MILE RUN. The Family Fun Festival is on hiatus for 2008. The Celebration l had a tremendously positive impact on how people who live in Orange Township and its surrounding communities.  The excitement and goodwill it generated is lasting. In effect, by turning a large and diverse township into a small community for just one day, the Celebration has pioneered a sense of hometown.
